Expert Judgement WS conducted in CMDR COE
The Dutch Company HKV, specialized in consultancy services and implementation of early warning systems for floods and droughts, conducted an interactive WS on 10 February 2020 in the CMDR COE.
Experts from BGR Ministry of Interior and CMDR COE took part in the event. The HKV consultants presented to the participants an interesting mathematical model and methodology for assessing potential floods. All experts participated in the WS took the opportunity to test the model in a form of mini tabletop exercise, based on a real scenario and data. After voting the particular aspects of the potential flood, the results of the two teams – for crisis management and experts, were compared and put to judgement. The final result reflected the extent of the experts’ influence on the decision making process and proved the applicability of the model.
