LESSONS IDENTIFIED CONFERENCE FOR THE EADRCC EXERCISE Date: (25-01-2017)
City: Sofia
Duration: 3

In accordance with the Civil Emergency Planning Exercise Policy and the Partnership Cooperation Menu for 2016, a consequence management field exercise “CRNA GORA 2016” was conducted between 31 October and 4 November 2016, jointly organized by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC) and Montenegro, the hosting nation. The field exercise was preceded by a training programme, a Table Top Exercise and a Command Post Exercise with the aim to train and exercise procedures for the Local Emergency Management Authority (LEMA), the UN model On-site Operation Co-ordination Centre (OSOCC) and liaison officers, as well as team leaders of participating consequence management teams. Based on previous experience from participating in other exercises of a similar nature and the good interaction between CMDR COE and EADRCC

it was suggested representatives of the Centre (analysis and lessons learned experts) to establish an experimental cell during “CRNA GORA-2016".  Within this cell it is scheduled to conduct testing and experimentation in parallel mode of a software platform, developed by Bulgarian-Greek consortium "IMPRESS", allocating resources and decision support during various of natural disasters with high intensity, causing injuries of varying degrees, including a fatal character and localization of people in need of medical assistance. The need to involve representatives of CMDR COE in the exercise is conditioned by the fact that the Centre is the end usеr of the software.

Similarly to previous year, during FPC it has been decided that CMDR COE will host a conference on lessons learned from this exercise.
