First Module UAS Course in coordination with Engineer Research and Development Centre (ERDC), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Date: (26-09-2025)
From 23 to 26 September 2025 the CMDR COE hosted a course designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical expertise in the deployment of Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) for data-driven decision-making across operational, civilian, and emergency contexts.
The program featured both theoretical sessions and live demonstrations, conducted by representatives from Engineer Research and Development Centre (ERDC), US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) who will provided uncrewed aerial systems and specialized software for processing and analyzing collected data.
This was the first iteration which consisted of theoretical sessions and live demonstrations aimed at senior officers. By the end of the course, participants have gained a better understanding of UAS and their usage potential, as well as hands-on experience directly applicable to real-world operations.
The second iteration of the course will be held next week and it’s intended for operators and presents hands-on planning and managing data collection missions, as well as processing and analysing the gathered information (including practical scenarios of terrain reconnaissance, infrastructure inspections, and the creation of detailed 3D maps).
