Capabilities Branch

Capabilities Branch

The Capabilities Branch bears responsibility for the overall implementation of activities related to Planning & Project Management, Information Collection, Publication and Data Base, and Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM). Experts work in close coordination with other branches in order to meet CMDR COE’s capability requirements. This includes focusing on all matters regarding CMDR COE’s overall organisation capabilities, as well as future operational concepts/doctrine capacities. The Capabilities Branch experts are responsible for the development, adoption, and continuous implementation of the Centre's annual Programme of Work (PoW).
The Centre’s constant efforts and relevant expertise resulted in being appointed project leader at the 36th meeting of the NATO Modelling and Simulation Group and in the establishment of a target group engaged in "M&S Support for Crisis and Disaster Management Processes and Climate Change Implications"(MSG-147). The aim of the latter project is to develop reference architecture and to demonstrate a technical platform that enables prompt, reasonable and effective tests of Crisis/Disaster and Climate Change Implication (CCI) Response plans.
