Transformation Branch
The Transformation Branch (TB) forms an integral part of the CMDR COE and is a source of concept and doctrine development ideas nurtured within a process of experimentation and lessons-learned. The international team of both civilian and military experts from different functional areas works incessantly in support of NATO’s transformation in the crisis management and disaster response (CMDR) domain thus contributing to the Alliance’s continuous viability and relevance.
No effort is spared in sustaining a high level of synchronization and standardisation of practices and procedures and in the process of establishing a common terminology and hence – understanding, on CMDR. The close interaction among individual CMDR COE branches provides for burden-sharing and effective, and efficient achievement of targeted objectives in a cooperative and enabling environment. One in which the focus is on the opportunity provided by today’s collaborative solutions for tomorrow’s complex challenges in an overall effort at ensuring an anticipatory capacity for a future of sustainable CMDR.
The Capabilities Branch bears responsibility for the overall implementation of activities related to Planning & Project Management, Information Collection, Publication and Data Base, and Modelling and Simulation (MODSIM).
